Pam Panattoni is a native Californian with a great love of the landscape of this beautiful state.

Pam obtained a bachelor’s degree from the Art Department at California State University, Fullerton and a master’s degree in landscape architecture from California Polytechnic University, Pomona. She worked for twenty years as a licensed landscape architect in California.

In 1999, a move to Rhode Island sparked an evolution in Pam’s creative focus—from landscape architecture to landscape painting—thereby providing her with a welcome opportunity to return to her fine arts roots. She began studying plein air painting through classes at the Newport Art Museum in Newport, RI.

Upon returning to California in 2001, Pam was able to study with many wonderful artists, such as Ken Auster, Michael Obermeyer and many other talented artists. She has been a member of the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association for more than 20 years and also a member of the California Art Club and Southern California Plein Air Painters Association. Pam has participated in numerous plein air festivals and her work has been featured in many exhibits in California, including those sponsored by the art organization mentioned above and a special two artist exhibit at the Bakersfield Museum of Art.
