As a landscape architect, I have a great appreciation for natural environments, designed spaces and special places that people enjoy being in. As a native Californian, I am especially drawn to the diverse natural and man-made environments of this state. I started studying plein air painting in 1999 when I moved to Rhode Island, but it wasn’t until I returned to California in 2001 that my desire and motivation to paint landscapes became supremely energized. The foothills, the mountains, the ocean and the unique neighborhoods of California feed my soul. Through painting, I celebrate the uniqueness of my beautiful home state.
